When the Honda Ridgeline was first launched in the US there were some people who were not that happy with how the pickup truck had been built as it offered a cabin that was car like and it was FWD. This meant that the Ridgeline was very different from the pickup trucks in the US.

Now the Honda Ridgeline has grown on people but just what was it that changed the minds of people in the US? Could it be that they finally realized that the vehicle is a Honda Pilot in disguise?

This is actually one of the best ways to describe it, a Honda Pilot that happens to have a bed on the back. We say this because the Honda Pilot and the Honda Ridgeline do have lots in common and they are almost identical.

The Honda Ridgeline and Honda Pilot were both built around the same platform and both offer up the V6 3.5 litre engine. Along with this they have similar styling and a cabin that is similar and aimed at offering comfort.

This is why we say that the Honda Ridgeline is a Honda Pilot SUV in disguise. Of course the vehicle was reworked for utility, but when you think about it, you automatically think about the Honda Pilot too.
