2017 Honda Ridgeline, Colorado, Frontier and Tacoma Fight To the Death

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline attracted a lot of attention when it showed its face at the Detroit Auto Show. However, it didn’t get away with getting some comments that weren’t all that good. Some people said that the vehicle looked boring.

People have been putting the 2017 Honda Ridgeline up against trucks such as the Toyota Tacoma and the Nissan Frontier along with the Chevrolet Colorado. So how can the truck stand up to those offering the V6 engines in the midsize range?

The Chevrolet Colorado offers up more horses, the Nissan Frontier has more torque. This means that the Honda Ridgeline is behind in both. The Chevrolet Colorado comes out ahead for its towing payload of 7,000lbs, leaving the Honda Ridgeline behind once again.

The Honda Ridgeline may not offer the heaviest payload but it does have the widest truck bed so it shines in this respect. This means the Ridgeline is ahead of the Toyota Tacoma, as the latter hasn’t scored any points yet.

For safety it is the Toyota Tacoma that you might think comes out ahead with its blind spot monitoring, however the Honda Ridgeline beats it as it offers this along with lane departure warning.

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline may not be well ahead of the competition but then it can hold its own among the others.
