The 2017 Honda Ridgeline made its appearance at the Detroit Auto Show and it proved to attract a great deal of attention. While a lot of good was said about the vehicle there were also some bad comments, mostly due to the looks of the vehicle as some people said that it was boring.
There has been comparison between the 2017 Honda Ridgeline and trucks including the Nissan Frontier, Chevrolet Colorado and the Toyota Tacoma. All of them are superb midsize trucks with the V6 engine, but how can the Ridgeline match up to them.
If you want the truck with the most horses then you would have to look at the Chevrolet Colorado. If you want plenty of torque then it would have to be the Nissan Frontier. The Chevrolet Colorado offers a payload that is 7,000lbs so it comes out ahead.
The Honda Ridgeline does stand out for the widest payload and it beats the Toyota Tacoma in this respect. The Toyota Tacoma hasn’t played its part yet as it hasn’t won any points.
You might have thought that the Toyota Tacoma comes out ahead for blind spot monitoring but the Honda Ridgeline beats it thanks to it having lane departure warning.
The Honda Ridgeline isn’t miles ahead of the competition but it does manage to hold its own among the other trucks. But which would you choose?
