2017 Honda Ridgeline, Colorado, Frontier and Tacoma All Fight It Out

By  |

When the 2017 Honda Ridgeline made an appearance at the Detroit Auto Show it did it in spectacular style. While it attracted attention for the good, it also got some criticism and this was mainly down to the way that the vehicle looks. Some people have called it boring.

The Honda Ridgeline is going up against trucks that are tougher, including the Nissan Frontier, the Toyota Tacoma and the Chevrolet Colorado. But how does it stand up to them?

You get more horses with the Chevrolet Colorado, with the Nissan Frontier there is more torque, this means that the Honda Ridgeline is behind in these two aspects. The Chevrolet Colorado also comes out ahead in the towing payload as it has 7,000 lbs, which none of the other trucks can beat.

The Honda Ridgeline doesn’t have the heaviest payload but it does have the widest payload. This means that the Ridgeline does come out ahead in this respect and the Toyota Tacoma, for the time being hasn’t won any points.

The Toyota Tacoma does have good blind spot monitoring, however the Honda Ridgeline is able to beat it as it comes with lane departure warning.

The Honda Ridgeline doesn’t run away with things, however it can hold its own among the bigger boys.
