2017 Honda Odyssey: Hybrid, Turbo On The Cards
We have seen the 2017 Honda Odyssey out in the wild again so it looks like the carmaker is completing tests, but they have kept it under wraps so we haven’t been able to see much.
Honda hasn’t talked much about the Honda Odyssey, the vehicle is said to be coming out at the beginning of 2017, so we don’t have a great deal of details about it right now. However we have heard plenty of rumours about what the vehicle might bring with it.
It has been said that the 2017 Honda Odyssey is going to arrive with the looks taken from the Honda Pilot. If so the bumper should be lower down, the LED headlights should be modified and the bumper changed. With it being so tight under wraps it has been almost impossible to tell if these changes have been made or not.
It was also suggested that the 2017 Honda Odyssey will offer up the V6 3.5 litre engine and this may offer 248 horses or more. The petrol engine is offered with direct injection and may offer around 280 horses and 270 torque, the same as the Honda Pilot. In the Pilot there is the V6 3.5 litre engine with the nine-speed gears, whether or not the same will be seen in the Odyssey is anyones guess, however it should have front-wheel drive. We may also see the I4 2 litre turbocharged engine and the fuel efficiency has been improved but it doesn’t have a drop in power.
For the time being you do have to take the above with a pinch of salt as they are only rumours and we are going to have to wait until Honda offers up information on the Honda Odyssey, which hopefully isn’t going to be too far away.
