2017 Honda HR-V Has Some Of Honda CR-Vs Major Flaws
The Honda HR-V and the Honda CR-V have both been built on the platform of the Honda Fit and they have the focus on utility instead of offering up performance. The crossover vehicle has been said to be underpowered, but on the good side is the fact that it offers up plenty of room inside.
The Honda HR-V has been struggling up against the Toyota RAV4 for the majority of the year and it has been said that the lack of hybrid is the main issue and this could bring down the crossover.
Honda may be forgiven for not offering up the 2016 Honda HR-V Hybrid, but the refresh for 2017 doesn’t come with the variant that people want. This may mean that the car maker is going to regret it.
Another thing that Honda hasn’t changed is the headlights of the subcompact vehicle. These were said to be among the worst in the market. It seems that the only thing that is different about the Honda HR-V is the new color choices.
The fact that the Honda CR-V isn’t offered in hybrid means that the RAV4 Hybrid has been able to enjoy free reign and it managed to get an extra 10% of sales, which has seen it ahead of the CR-V for 6 months of this year.
We can see the same thing happening again with the Honda HR-V going up against the Toyota C-HR. perhaps instead of having just the one engine option the rival to the HR-V could have the Toyota Prius setup, with is the 1.8 litre hybrid.
