The battle is on between the 2017 Honda CR-V and the Subaru Forester to find out what of the two vehicles comes out ahead for offering better fuel efficiency. Both vehicles have a lot to offer but which is going to come out ahead?
The 2017 Honda CR-V has the 1.5 litre turbocharged 4 cylinder engine on the upper trims and on the lower it is the 2.4 litre four-cylinder that is on offer. The engines offer CVT and front-wheel drive, with the option of choosing all-wheel drive. The 2.4 litre offers 26mpg in the city, 33 on the highway and 29mpg combined. The 1.5 engine offers 28 miles travelling in the city and 34 miles when out on the highway.
The 2017 Subaru Forester offers up the inline-4 engine which when tweaked by turbo offers up 250 horses. The base version offers the manual transmission and others have six and eight speed auto. The vehicle offers 24mpg in the city, 32mpg out on the highway and 27mpg combined.
The 2017 Honda CR-V does come out ahead for fuel efficiency over the 2017 Subaru Forester. However, there is a great deal more to choosing the perfect vehicle than the range it travels over. So which would you choose?
