Three things stand out about the 2017 Honda CR-V and these are the welcome return of the physical volume knob, the 1.5 litre turbocharged engine and the superb redesign. But there is more to it than you might think.

The LX trim of the 2017 Honda CR-V hasn’t been given a huge price boost as it is just $200 more. It comes in at $24, 945, while the EX trim is $27, 595. For the additional money you get a boost of 1mpg. But wait, there is even more to the vehicle.

We had heard that the new version of the Honda CR-V would be offered in a three row model and a plug-in hybrid variation might also be offered. While neither of these has shown up yet, it doesn’t mean that they are not going to do so.

Honda worked on the Honda Accord Hybrid and did wonders with the vehicle and they are going to offer up electric models in the next half decade. So we cannot see why a plug-in variation of the Honda CR-V would not be arriving. We also think that the Civic Hybrid may also be making a comeback soon.
