2017 Honda CR-V Steps Into Shoes Of Civic Avoiding The Pilot

By  |

When Honda set about designing the 2017 Honda CR-V they put a lot of thought into the process. From what we have seen it looks like they decided to model it after the Honda Civic. The Honda Pilot has been a vehicle that has been successful and it was thought that perhaps they would use this for the new CR-V but this hasn’t been the case.

We have seen some spy shots that show us that the Honda CR-V has been designed based on the Honda Civic not the Pilot. The vehicle was seen in testing and it showed off the tail lights, grille and headlights the same as the Civic.

The Honda CR-V will have the platform of the Honda Civic too and we should see the same VTEC 1.5 litre turbocharged engine or maybe the 1 litre VTEC turbocharged engine.

As the Honda CR-V is going to take on the design of the Honda Civic it will mean that the vehicle now offers up a look that is fresher along with a newer design that should please the younger generation.
