2017 Honda CR-V Climbs Into Bed Of Honda Civic Not Pilot

By  |

When Honda was designing the Honda CR-V they did give its design some thought and they chose to base it around that of the Honda Civic. Initially it was thought that they might go with the design from the Honda Pilot, due to the fact that this vehicle enjoyed great success. According to spy photos this doesn’t happen to be the case it seems.

It looks like Honda jumped into bed with the Honda CR-V and ditched the Pilot design. We say this as we have seen the vehicle being tested and it has the same tail lights, grille and headlights that are seen on the Civic.

It is thought that the Honda CR-V is also going to offer up the platform of the Honda Civic and this means that we should see the 1.5 litre VTEC turbocharged engine or maybe the 1 litre VTEC turbocharged.

Maybe Honda chose to go with the design of the Honda Civic for the Honda CR-V so that the vehicle takes on a look that is fresher and newer. After all they do want to make the vehicle appeal to the younger buyers.
