2017 Honda Civic Hatchback: Will It Be Preview Of CR-V And Type R?

By  |

The five door Honda Civic Hatchback may be the base for the 2018 Honda Civic Type R, which is said to have the 2 litre EarthDreams turbocharged four cylinder engine, offering up 340 horses.

It has been said that the hatchback is going to be toning down the aggressive design elements on the production version of the Civic Hatchback and it is going to look along the same lines as the Type R.

Honda is hoping that the base Civic versions are going to be the base for other vehicles in their lineup. The sedan is going to be the inspiration for the 5th generation of the Honda CR-V, which shares the same platform.

We don’t think that the Honda CR-V is going to have the exact same looks as the Type R, we believe that there will be lots of the five door Civic seen on the five door compact SUV.

Of course there are some things on the hatchback that are not going to be on the Honda CR-V and one of these includes the center mounted dual exhaust setup.
