Muscle cars from the US are now becoming popular outside of the US as the Ford Mustang with RHD for the UK has shown us. Chevrolet wanted to get in on the act and they launched the Chevrolet Corvette but it wasn’t made available in RHD, only LHD.
Now you can get the Chevrolet Corvette in right hand drive by way of a conversion offered by Clive Sutton. However it is going to cost you £54,000 to have the vehicle converted, when the Ford Mustang comes in with a price tag of £29,000 and it’s already right hand drive. So the question is why would you pay thousands more to have the Chevy converted.
The Chevrolet Corvette offers the V8 6.2 litre engine and along with offering a kit to turn it into RHD the company is also offering kits for the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Ford F-150, Dodge Ram 2500 and older version of the Ford Mustang.
Along with the whopping price tag to get the Chevrolet Corvette converted owners also have to wait for 12 to 16 weeks while the work is being undertaken.
But would you pay out for the Chevrolet Corvette and then pay £54,000 to have it converted when you can pick up the Ford Mustang for just £29,000 already in right hand drive? We know where we would spend our money.
