The price tag of the new Ford F-150 starts at $26,730 and the Ford F-150 Raptor beings at $48,860. Even so a Raptor has just been sold at auction for an amazing $157,000. Of course this isn’t just the regular version of the Raptor that you can pick up in showrooms.

The Ford F-150 Raptor that went for over $150k is unique as it offers the last VIN in production and the vehicle was donated by Ford for JDRF, who are the leader in research for type-1 diabetes.

The Ford F-150 Raptor in question went for the winning bid at an auction in Scottsdale and the winner was Sam Pack, the chief executive of the Five Star Ford dealership in Texas.

The price tag of $157,000 that was paid to acquire the Ford F-150 Raptor is equivalent to the base version of the Acura NSX, which happens to be the company’s most iconic sports car. Of course it was for a worthwhile cause.
