2017 Ford F-150 Raptor: 450 Horses May Not Make Up For Missing V8

By  |

We haven’t heard anything from Ford yet about the Ford F-150 Raptor engine, but word is that the engine could offer up 450 horses.

Rumors were going around that the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor would offer the 3.5 litre EcoBoost and this should offer 450 horses and 510 of torque. This does sound amazing but it isn’t a V8 engine. Due to this many people are not going to be too happy with it.

People aren’t afraid that the Ford F-150 Raptor is going to offer up less power if it hasn’t got the V8 engine. What they are afraid of is that the vehicle isn’t going to sound good if it has the new EcoBoost engine.

We would take an improvement for the fuel economy over what the engine sounds like, but what about you? Would you miss the V8 engine in the Ford F-150 Raptor if Ford chose to go with the EcoBoost engine?
