The Ford F-150 has come a long way as it has gone down the aluminum route, taken on the ten speed automatic transmission and it has boosted fuel economy thanks to the V6 3.5 litre EcoBoost engine. Now the vehicle is being recognized for its extra green efforts in a totally different way.

The Ford F-150 is made using recycled materials where possible, this applies to many of its part. This of course isn’t all that obvious. The truck of course does very little to give the impression that it has been improved when it comes to being a gas guzzler.

The Ford F-150 could be more aerodynamic, but Ford does happen to save more than gas as it uses the recycled plastics, cardboard, rubber and tires along with other bio products and this means that the landfills don’t keep piling up.

The car makers use of wastage does have a significant effect when you take into account that the Ford F-150 has become the best-selling US vehicle. However you could say that’s a lot of people riding around on rubbish.
