Ever wondered how fast the Raptor might go if it had the Mustang V8 engine fitted into it? Well wonder no more as the 2017 Ford Explorer Raptor is heading your way with the V8 engine.
The 2017 Ford Explorer Raptor will be making its way out in 2017 and the EcoBoost 5.0 V8 engine has been in the making for many years. The engine was revealed to fit in the next generation GT500, however we are now hearing that it is going to be in the Raptor for 2017.
The EcoBoost program was delayed but it is now back up and on track again and it is going to be seen in the 2017 version of the Ford Explorer Raptor.
The engine will offer the 10 speed auto transmission that was seen in the V6 EcoBoost Raptor when it arrives on the market in 2017. It was said that Ford realise the potential for offering options, which are the 5.0 V8 and the EcoBoost V6 engines.
Along with the EcoBoost V8 engine arriving in the 2017 Ford Explorer Raptor we have also heard that the twin turbocharged V8 may also make its way into other vehicles in the Ford line-up.
