Dodge issued a recall to recall back both the Dodge Charger Hellcat and Dodge Challenger Hellcat after it was reported that the engine oil cooler lines might fail leading to oil loss.

It is said that the issue is with the rubber that is being used in the oil cooler line. The rubber which does not meet the company’s criteria could separate from the crimped aluminium portion of the line which would lead to an oil spill.

Those affected will be Charger Hellcats and Challenger Hellcat that were built from the 6th of February 2017 and 30th of May 2017. Dodge will be issuing a recall on the 22nd of September.

Recalled models will be getting their oil cooler lines replaced for free. While you wait for the recall to be issued, you might want to be more cautious when you drive around in your Hellcat.
