At the Conner Avenue plant the production of the Dodge Viper is ending in 2017 and when it does we have heard that the production of the 2017 Dodge Challenger Cobra could take over from where the Viper leaves off.
The 2017 Dodge Challenger Cobra may not be the fanciest of names for the vehicle but it is going to help people remember the Viper.
At the moment the Dodge Viper SRT gives out 645 horse power and this is thanks to it having the V10 8.4 litre engine which takes the vehicle from stand still to 100 in around 12 seconds, while the top speed will be 2016mph.
The Challenger offers the V6 3.6 litre engine and if and when the 2017 Dodge Challenger Cobra does come out it is going to offer even more power.
Whether the 2017 Dodge Challenger Cobra is going to be able to take over from the Viper is anyone’s guess but for now we are going to have to wait and see.
