2017 Dodge Challenger Bids 707hp Hellcat Farewell

By  |

We may be saying farewell to the 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat 707 horsepower soon but if the spy shots that we have recently seen are to be believed then we will welcome the Hellcat V8 6.2 litre.

The supercharged V8 Hellcat was seen being tested and this is the widebody Dodge Challenger which should make its way out in 2018 and possibly offer 750 horses. The fenders are wider and these blend well with the big meaty tires, which will help gain more power when out on the roads.

Before the Dodge Challenger 707 horsepower does bow out we are going to see a 2017 version, which is going to have the name of ADR, aka American Drag Racer. We have been treated to spy photos of two Challengers out in testing with the new components.

While we haven’t seen the wider fenders, we did get a good idea of what we can expect from the Dodge Challenger thanks to the broader tires. It is thought that they will be growing by at least two inches to cover up that extra rubber.

At the moment we don’t know a great deal about the Dodge Challenger ADR. However we wouldn’t be shocked to see upgrades to the brakes and suspension. It has been rumoured that the Challenger will offer upwards of 750 horses when it arrives in 2017. However whether it will actually such a huge amount of power remains to be seen.

The arrival of the Dodge Challenger ADR along with the all-wheel drive could mean that we will say farewell to the model that is on the market at the moment.
