Looking at the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, you would never think that the minivan would have what it takes to take on models like the Toyota 86 but it did.
The guys over at Cars.com decided to put the Chrysler Pacifica and Toyota 86 up against each other in a Drag-Strip challenge and surprisingly, the Pacifica won the race.
The Chrysler Pacifica currently comes with a V6 engine that will be offering about 287hp. The engine will be mated to a nine-speed auto transmission and it will return about 18mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway. The Chrysler Pacifica will need 7.3 seconds to go from 0-60mph.
The Toyota 86 on the other hand is powered by a 2.0 liter flat four engine that will be delivering about 205hp. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed auto transmission. The Toyota 86 will return about 21mpg in the city and 28mpg on the highway and will need 6.2 seconds to go from 0-60mph. The weight of the 86 should give the vehicle the advantage but it did not.
