2017 Chrysler 300 Is A Bit Dull

By  |

The 2017 Chrysler 300 is coming our way as a front-wheel drive vehicle and it should offer the same underpinnings as the Pacifica minivan. However the vehicle is a bit on the dull side.

We heard from the chief executive who did some back peddaling after announcing a big shift in product strategy. He also said that the factory in Ontario is going to design a sedan but at the same time he said that it wasn’t a commitment.

The Chrysler 300 is going to be produced at the same time as the Dodge Charger and Challenger in Brampton. The platforms are going to be the same as the LX. They are moving to front-wheel drive and it may offer up a ride that is more elegant. Nothing was said about the Dodge vehicles so they may be keeping the rear-wheel drive.

Some have said that the change to front-wheel drive may complicate matters, but what do you think about the Chrysler 300.

Dear Sergio Marchionne:If you intend to make a full size front drive car,do not put a rear drive badge(300,Charger,Challenger-midsize etc)on it.Keep those badges on rear drive cars.Use the upcoming aluminum turbocharged nearly or at 300 hp 4 cylinder engine as a fuel miser base model version for those cars to compete with the 4 cylinder Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro. As for the planned front drive cars using the Pacifica Minivan platform, give them front drive badges like the Dodge Intrepid/Chrysler LHS etc.
