2017 Chevrolet Camaro Frightened By 707 Horsepower Hellcat

The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro is one vehicle that is highly anticipated due to the fact that this will be the first to have the ten speed auto gears. This is an impressive vehicle as it is able to reach 60mph from standing when in the first gear.

The V6 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE package has gained a great deal of attention and this is thanks to it coming in with a cheaper price tag than what the Camaro SS 1LE commands.

What is surprising to some people is the fact that the cheaper version may be able to rival the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat when going around the Car and Driver Lightning Lap.

The Chevrolet Camaro 1.E V6 engine was able to beat the 2011 Ford Mustang with the V6 engine to take the title of being the fastest vehicle in the LL1 category. The lap time was 3 minutes and 4 seconds and this meant that it was behind the Dodge Challenger Hellcat by only 0.5 seconds. Bear in mind that the Hellcat comes with a price tag of $62, 500.

The Hellcat has the V8 engine and it offers 707 horses and 650 torque. The Chevrolet Camaro 1LE with the V6 engine gives out 335 horses along with 284 torque, yet it around half the price tag of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The previous record around the track was 3 minutes and 12.5 seconds and this title was held by the Ford Mustang.
