This year a lot of the focus has been on the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE and this has been thanks to the fact that it happens to be the first muscle vehicle to make use of the ten speed automatic transmission.
The new version of the Chevrolet Camaro V6 1LE isn’t an afterthought, so it shouldn’t be treated as such. It did break the Lightning Lap that had been held by the 2011 Ford Mustang V6 in the LL1 category.
Any vehicle that falls under this category comes with a price tag of under $34, 999 and this happens to be the first time that the 1LE Camaro has entered this, as the Camaro SS 1LE is out of the price range.
The Chevrolet Camaro V6 1LE took just 3 minutes and 4 seconds so it did blast away the prior record holder by some margin. The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 took 3 minutes and 12.5 seconds and this was the same as the 2006 Nissan 350Z Track.
Whats more interesting is the fact that the Chevrolet Camaro is just 0.5 seconds behind that of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and this is a vehicle that comes in with a price tag that is double that of the V6 1LE.
