If you thought the 2017 BMW i8 was all that BMW is offering you are in for a shock as they have just revealed two new special edition versions for this year.

BMW have revealed they will be offering two new vehicles at the International Motor Show which is taking place in March. They haven’t given anything specific away about the vehicles but they did say that there will be a special edition of the BMW i8, the BMW i8 Pro-tonic Frozen Black.

Along with the BMW i8 Pro-tonic Frozen Black the carmaker is also bringing out another special edition and this is the BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Yellow Edition. We should also get to see new plug-in hybrid models at the Geneva show and these will be the 530e and the Mini Cooper S E Countryman.

The BMW i8 is the more interesting of course as it is going to offer up better range and performance for 2017 and this could also been seen at the Geneva show. BMW said that they want to sell 100,000 plug-in vehicles during 2017 in comparison to the 62,000 they managed to sell during 2016.

With the BMW i8 and iPerformance models the carmaker has been one of the most successful of plug-in hybrids among the premium market. The line-up of exclusive and limited edition i8s are continuing to expand and bring bespoke interior styling along with paint finishes that are exclusive.
