Some of the Audi TT Quattro Sport concept didn’t manage to make it to the production vehicles of Audi, and this included the Audi R8, however there isn’t any need for it really.
The 2017 Audi TT RS offers the 2.5 litre five cylinder engine and this comes with more twist and ensures that the vehicle is capable of being as fast as the Porsche Panamera 4S.
While this isn’t big news the Audi TT RS is able to go from 0 to 60mph in only 2.6 seconds. It is equal to the Porsche Panamera 4S running 440 horses with the V6 2.9 litre twin turbocharged engine.
The concept turbo four costs more to produce than the turbo five and it doesn’t really help that the five cylinder blocks happen to be more vaunted than the four cylinder engine.
Maybe Audi may think about cranking up the engine of the Audi TT RS for the Audi R8, but perhaps the V6 biturbo engine of the Porsche Panamera might land in the super car.
