The Alfa Romeo Giulia release hasn’t been very inspiring as fans of the vehicle were disappointed by the practices of the car maker. What the sedan did was to keep the interest alive as the QV performance vehicle did manage to post a lap time at Nurburgring that was impressive.

This wasn’t an official time but the Guilia QV with its 505 horses did manage to get around Green Hell in just 7 minutes and 39 seconds. This makes it the fastest time that a production sedan has ever gone around it.

The Porsche Panamera then followed suit and under the 550 horsepower disguise it managed to beat it when it posted 7 minutes and 38 seconds, yes just one second in it.

It seems that the Giulia QV did have a trick up its sleeve though as with the same engine it then came back and took over the Porsche Panamera with 7 minutes and 32 seconds, but how?

Well it seems that they used the ZF eight speed automatic transmission from FCA instead of using the six speed manual.
