Remember when this 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia beauty wowed the LA Auto Show crowd last year? It still has the charm, apparently.
But this time, it’s a whole different way in wowing the crowd, as the beast of a machine had just recently been involved in allegations regarding its crashworthiness problems. And obviously, the Alfa Romeo team is constantly denying it.
The claims came from supplier sources which suggested that the forthcoming sedan had failed to meet three of FCA’s internal crash tests, all of which includes the front, side and rear impacts. Now that’s a whole lot of stuff they’ve got to fix though. What’s more, these unexpected hurdles were the cause of what’s holding up the project by six months behind schedule.
Like how most PR spokesperson might react, the Alfa Romeo team had issued a denial statement, claiming that none of the details were “accurate or representative at all”. Well, we’ll have a lot to see about that if this issue comes up again in the near future. Guess that beauty would soon have a price, eh?
