2017 Acura ILX More Like B-Graded Honda Civic

By  |

Honda did very well in 2016 as they achieved new sales records but not every vehicle managed to attract a lot of attention from them and the 2017 Honda Acura ILX was one of them.

The 2017 Acura ILX was seen to be nothing more than a disappointment for the company and people said that it was more like a B-graded Honda Civic. The ILX did manage to get onto the charts but only the regretful purchase one of Consumer Reports.

It managed to get onto the list for many different reasons and one of them was the boring and old fashioned looks. It is supposed to be the luxury model of the Honda Civic, however it has styling that is more along the lines of a cheap car with some bling. The performance of the vehicle doesn’t come close to that of the Honda Civic.

The 2017 Acura ILX offers up the 2.4 litre engine but it doesn’t offer the performance of the 1.5 litre turbocharged 4 on the Civic. The Civic also comes with additional driving technology that isn’t found on the Acura.

The Honda Civic is priced lower than the 2017 Acura ILX too, so this is another reason why you might want to avoid the ILX.
