The Toyota RAV4 has taken what may be the most crucial win over the Honda CR-V when it was listed as being one of the most reliable crossovers, alongside two more vehicles from Toyota. The list lacked any Honda vehicles and this includes the CR-V.

The survey of the most reliable crossovers was undertaken by J.D.Power and it asks owners of used and new cars about the reliability of their vehicle. They use this information to determine factors such as quality, dependability and appeal.

The Initial Quality Study and Vehicle Dependability Study show the reliability of trucks, SUVs and cars in the future. Three of vehicles came from Toyota, including the Toyota RAV4. Alongside this was the Toyota 4Runner and the Toyota Highlander.

While Toyota enjoyed good ratings with three vehicles and the Toyota RAV4 took a score of 4 out of 5, Honda were totally left out and this even included the Honda CR-V, which we thought might have entered the list.

So it looks like the Toyota RAV4 is more reliable than any of the offerings from Honda and certainly the Honda CR-V.
