2016 Toyota Prius Is Going Further Than First Thought

By  |

Sales of the 2016 Toyota Prius haven’t been all that good in the US and people have pulled faces at the 55mpg hybrid. It has fuel economy improvements that are good but it offers up a design that isn’t so good and this has put people off.

The sales in Europe for the Toyota Prius also declined by around 50% when compared to the sales from 2013. We didn’t expect the Prius to be able to go far at the beginning of 2016, however things didn’t turn out as expected.

The Toyota Prius hybrid managed to hit the four digit monthly sales by August and this means that the vehicle has managed to double the sales figures for 2015 as the vehicle found 12,000 buyers. The Prius took a 45% hybrid sales increase thanks to the Toyota RAV4 and Auris.

It is thought that the vehicle makers sales by the end of 2016 for their total lineup may reach 900,000 units and about one third of these may be hybrids. It is looking as though the future could be brighter for the Toyota Prius and C-HR.
