The 2016 Subaru Outback is taking on the Audi A6 Quattro in a snow challenge but which comes out ahead?
It would have been nice to see both the 2016 Subaru Outback and the Audi A6 Quattro using the same tires in the challenge and the battle comes down to weight and power as much as AWD.
The A6 Quattro has weight of between 3600 and 4000lbs while the 2016 Subaru Outback has a weight of 2800 to 3500lbs. The maximum engine output on the Subaru is 165 horses and the Audi has 200 horses with an engine closer to 300. Assuming of course that the vehicles in the test were from the early 2000s.
Other people have said that the test isn’t about peak horses but more about traction, such as the AWD system, weight and tires, along with the gear ratio. You would also have to take into account whether the vehicles offered proper limited slip differentials on the front, centre and the rear.
Check out the video below and let us know whether it is the 2016 Subaru Outback that is the winner or the Audi A6 Quattro.
