2016 Jeep Wrangler Waves Goodbye To Cherokee, Not Before Time
Production capacity hasn’t yet been increased for the Jeep Wrangler, however the Wrangler is already in a position that Jeep wanted for it, when the next generation version comes our way in 2018.
The sales for July showed us that the Jeep Wrangler has now gone past the Grand Cherokee and Cherokee and has taken the title of being the best-selling brand in the US for both the current year to date and last month sales.
Before this the iconic 4×4 was struggling behind the two vehicles when it came to sales, which was down to the fact that the supply of the Jeep Wrangler was stunted as it was made in just one plant in Toledo.
In July the Jeep Wrangler topped sales of 18, 741, which came in front of the Cherokee Grand and Cherokee at 16, 704 and 15, 451. At the moment the YTD sales are 119, 041 units.
The Cherokee fell down into third place, this is due to the Grand Cherokee being ahead with a small lead at 116, 850 compared to 116, 424 YTD sales.
The three brands have carried Jeep in the US along with Ram, Chrysler, Alfa, Dodge and Fiat has all been struggling when it comes to boosting their sales.
