2016 Jeep Wrangler Says Goodbye To Jeep Cherokee, Not Before Time
Jeep has invested in boosting the production capacity of the Jeep Wrangler but even before this the Wrangler was in the position that Jeep wanted for it when the 2018 next generation version comes our way.
The July sales numbers have shown us that the Jeep Wrangler has now beaten the Cherokee along with the Grand Cherokee to become the best-selling vehicle in the US, in last months figures along with year to date figures.
Along with this the iconic 4×4 has been behind two siblings, aimed at city driving, for sales, due to the supply being restricted at the Toledo plant.
It did however manage to sell 18, 741 units in July and this put it ahead of the Jeep Grand Cherokee which sold 16, 704 units and the Cherokee having sold 15, 451 units. At the moment the YTD figures are 119, 042.
The Jeep Cherokee fell from top spot to third, while the Grand Cherokee takes a small lead with 116, 850 sales to 116, 424 sales in the YTD figures.
There are three names that have taken Jeep into the US and they are in competition with the RAM, Chrysler, Dodge, Alfa and Fiat, all of which are struggling with sales boosts.
