2016 Jeep Wrangler Is Going To Leave Cherokee Behind It
The Jeep Wrangler has managed to get itself into a position that the company wanted when the new model arrives in 2018, even before they invested so that they can increase the production capacity.
The July sales figures showed that the Jeep Wrangler has now overtaken the sales of the Jeep Grand Cherokee along with the Grand in the US in current year to date sales and last month’s sales.
While they have been doing this the most iconic 4×4 vehicle has been struggling as it has been behind in sales and this is down to the fact that the supply has been somewhat restricted to the single plant in Toledo.
It did manage to get ahead as it sold 18, 741 units in July and this meant that it came in front of the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee, selling 16, 704 and 15, 451 units.
The Jeep Cherokee fell from first place to third, while the Grand Cherokee managed to maintain the marginal lead with YTD figures of 116, 850 compared to 116, 424.
The three have taken Jeep stateside along with RAM and have carried the FCA, however the Chrysler, Fiat, Dodge and Alfa have continued to struggle when it comes to boosting their sales.
