2016 Jeep Cherokee May Be A Good Mistake To Have
The FCA has seen many fingers being pointed at it and they have been classed as being a cheat following an investigation recently that found out that they had been reporting sales figures that were inaccurate for more than five years.
This wasn’t the case though as what they were doing was using a method of telling people about sales that wasn’t reliable. The FCA has overestimated the sales figures for 2012, 2013 and 2014, but they underestimated the sales figures for 2011, 2014 and 2015.
One thing that is interesting out of all of this is that the sales figures for 2015 were 2, 243, 907 sales from the six brands. Jeep of course was the biggest contributor to those sales as they accounted for around 40%.
The Jeep Cherokee was the best-selling model and this accounted for around 25% of the sales. However it is now looking as though even more vehicles may have been sold as the best sales had been underestimated by 7% and this is another 13, 734 vehicles.
Total sales came to 2, 257, 641 and this was by using a new sales methodology that includes the dealer reported sales along with fleet sales and retail other sales.
