2016 Honda CR-V Hitting Back And Soaring Above RAV 4 and Escape

By  |

Over in the US market the Honda CR-V is among the leaders for crossovers in July as it managed to sell 36, 017 units. This also put it as the fourth best-seller in the entire market, behind the Dodge RAM, Chevrolet Silverado and the Ford F-Series.

However when it comes to the year to date sales, it is behind the Toyota RAV4 selling 195, 092 units in comparison to 197, 771 units. The latter managed to sell 31, 871 units in July.

This is of course only a small margin. If the Honda CR-V were to beat the sales of the RAV 4 in August then it might be able to take back its position in sales as being the leader in crossover sales in the US.

The Honda CR-V sales figures did improve last month by around 13.3% when compared to the sales in July the previous year. The Ford Escape came in second in front of the Honda, which fell by 10.2%.

The Honda Civic and the Honda Accord were in front of the Honda CR-V for the months prior as the Civic sold 32, 952 units and the Accord sold 31, 946 units throughout July. The Civic remains the leader for Honda with a total amount of sales of 222, 792 so far.
