2016 Honda CR-V Bests RAV4 and Escape
In the US in the crossover segment the Honda CR-V is among the best-selling as it sold 36, 017 units. It was also the fourth best-selling vehicle in the automotive market as it came behind the Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado and the Dodge RAM.
When it comes to YTD sales it has been behind the Toyota RAV4 which sold 195, 092 units compared to 197, 771 units and the latter sold 31, 871 in July.
This is a small margin and if the sales of the Honda CR-V beat those of the RAV4 in August, it may be able to reclaim its position in sales as the leader in the US.
Figures of the Honda CR-V did manage to improve last month by 13.3% when compared to the same period for July in 2015. The Ford Escape came in second place and this was in front of the Honda, which fell by 10.2%.
The Honda Civic along with the Honda Accord sold 32, 952 and 31, 946 units in July, but the Civic is still the leader among the lineup of Honda as it accumulated 222, 792 sales this year to date.
