2016 Ford Focus RS: Perhaps Now Is The Time For The WRX STi To Give Up

By  |

The Subaru WRX STi is one vehicle that does offer up great performance. However it may be time for it to give up as the 2016 Ford Focus RS is coming our way and its great.

The Subaru WRX STi has been out for some time now and the vehicle runs on the 2 litre engine that packs 268 horse power. While this may be good, the 2016 Ford Focus RS should be going to offer more.

There is the 2.3 litre EcoBoost engine in the 2016 Ford Focus and this is a turbocharged engine that comes with 4 cylinders. By the way this happens to be the same engine that is seen in the Ford Mustang. The engine that has been put in the RS has had a retune and we are expecting it to offer up 345 horse power and have 325 torque.

The powerful engine means that the 2016 Ford Focus RS is going to go from 0 to 60mph in only 4.7 seconds. The vehicle is also going to offer up what Ford has called the Drift Mode and this should offer a better driving experience for owners.

correction — the Subaru WRX STI has a 2.5L turbocharged engine; the WRX non-STI a 2.0L turbo
