People in the UK seem to have a love affair with the 2016 Ford Fiesta and the runner-up in sales, the Vauxhall Corsa, cannot come anywhere near the Fiesta as the Fiesta is 30k sales ahead with more than 100k sales so far in 2016.
Hatchbacks are popular in the UK and the 2016 Ford Fiesta is clearly among the best of them. The vehicle has been flying out of the dealerships and it doesn’t look as though it is going to stop anytime soon. The Corsa has been chasing it but for a rival it hasn’t been able to come close.
Along with the Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Corsa, other vehicles that are popular in the UK include the Nissan Qashqai, Volkswagen Golf, Vauxhall Mokka, Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Vauxhall Astra.
The 2016 Ford Fiesta has been a favorite with Brits for many decades and it remains as popular as ever with around 103, 945 registrations. The sales figures are clearly well ahead of its closest rival, despite the fact that it isn’t the cheapest among the segment. This is due to the fact that it offers handling that is superb, an interior that is hard to beat and engines that are smooth.
The Vauxhall Corsa came in behind the 2016 Ford Fiesta with 68, 831 registrations, the Ford Focus with 61, 233 registrations followed then the Volkswagen Golf with 59, 474 registrations and Nissan Qashqai with 55, 238 registrations to make up the top five.
