The front passenger of the Ford F-150 might be in danger and that is the main reason why the Ford F-150 and the Ford Explorer is being recalled back.
According to the recall report, the bolt in the front power-adjustable seat could come loose which could cause the cushion to shift during a crash. A total of 200,000 vehicles will be affected by this recall.
Affected models will be brought in for an inspection to see if the bolt is strong enough to hold the cushion. If not, the bolt will be removed and replaced with a new threadlock and reinstalled. This is, however, a temporary fix while Ford works and a final and more permanent fix for the Ford F-150 and Ford Explorer.
Of course, like most recall, the fix will be free as well. Ford also added that no reports of injuries related to the issues have been received so far.
