Aston Martin will be recalling some of their DB11 after it was reported that some vehicles might have an issue with airbag deployments although this has nothing to do with the Takata airbags scandal which has lead to more than 20 death.
Aston Martin will be recalling 3873 Aston Marton DB11 models to address the issue with the steering column components that could cause unintended airbag deployments. The same issue also affected 1 million Mercedes-Benz model last year. The same parts were also offered to Aston Martin and Nissan. Nissan has also recalled back 17,500 units of their vehicle to fix the same issue.
According to the reports, inadequate grounding in the component might be the main reason why the airbags are deployment without any apparent reason. Reports of owners getting minor injuries due to the issue have been reported.
Those affected will be getting the necessary repair for free.
