The Division had a great story to tell but when the game received lukewarm responses from the fans because of all the cheating and imbalance issues, some people were worried that Ubisoft will drop the game but that is not going to happen now as Ubisoft announce that they will be working on a sequel for the post-apocalyptic shooter game.

Besides making the announcement, they also released a roadmap so that players can see when the updates will arrive for the first game.

While things started out shaky for the game, Ubisoft did manage to salvage it with the patches that they released afterward. The development of the sequel will be led by Massive Entertainment and will be powered by an updated version of the Snowdrop engine.

Fans can expect to see more of the sequel this year as Ubisoft reveals that the game will be making an appearance at E3.
